Queen Anne’s County Public Schools supports home schooling in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) §13A.10.01.
After reviewing the materials provided by the links to the right, if you decide to instruct your child or children at home, please return the Home Schooling Notification Form to the address stated above. If your child or children are registered in a Queen Anne’s County school, you must contact the guidance counselor at each school to withdraw the student(s). Note: your Home Schooling Notification Form must be received in this office at least 15 days prior to beginning your home schooling program.

There are many groups in Maryland that have been formed to support parents who have elected to home school their children. Additionally, questions regarding programs and non-public entities registered with the state to supervise home schooling may be directed to the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).
