Florence S. Buck Excellence in Teaching Award
(this award is not available at the present time)
 
The Florence S. Buck Excellence in Teaching Award is intended to recognize individual teachers for their dedications to the students of Queen Anne’s County. Teachers are nominated by students, parents, peers and community members who complete an essay with a minimum 250 words.  Please include the teacher you are nominating, school and your name and address or email address must also be included.  Send to Queen Anne's County Public Schools, Office of Public Information, 202 Chesterfield Avenue, Centreville, MD  21617.
 
Recipients of the Florence S Buck Excellence in Teaching Award receive a cash award of $1,000 in honor of Florence S. Buck. The money comes from a generous donation from her son Michael Buck.   PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR CRITERIA

MY TEACHER MAKES A DIFFERENCE!make a difference logo
There will be one winner each month. Student winners will have lunch with their teacher, receive a t-shirt and hat, and attend the Board of Education meeting for recognition. The teacher chosen from your essay each month will receive a Lapel Pin, a "Difference Maker Tumbler", a t-shirt, attend the Board of Education Meeting for recognition and a $25.00 gift certificate to a local restaurant, sponsored by Sullivan Financial, LLC. Let the community know how your teacher makes a difference to you!

CHICK-FIL-A SHINING STAR AWARDS recognize QACPS Support Person that "Shines".  This award is sponsored by Chick-Fil-A and doc's Riverside Grille in Centrville.  The winner is recognized monthly at the Board of Education Meeting at 6:00.  (first Wednesday of every month).  Email Here and nominate your favorite QACPS Support Person that SHINES!!!

QACPS ENERGIZER BUNNY KEEPS-ON-GOING !bunny

QUEEN ANNE’S COUNTY HERO CLUB

Nominations are open to all students of QACPS from grades PREK to 12.

WHERE THERE ARE HEROES, BULLIES DISAPPEAR!

Challenge students to be a hero today.

Share a “HERO” story with us and recognize students who exhibit heroic actions.  Nominations are for students who have been done something for the GOOD of others despite it being a RISK.  WHERE THERE ARE HEROES, BULLIES DISAPPEAR!

 

Each month a HERO will be chosen for recognition at the Board of Education Meeting and receive a medal, HERO wrist bracelet, QACPS hat and membership into the HERO CLUB for an end-of-the-year Pizza Party with the Superintendent of Schools.

 

All nominations not chosen for the month will be included in the following months’ selections.  Please fill out the form below and return it to the Office of Public Information/QACPS, 202 Chesterfield Avenue, Centreville, MD  21617 or email it to offpub@qacps.org .
